Its sandy gravel (80%) and clay (20%) soils are planted mostly to semillon with about 17% of the vineyard planted to sauvignon blanc and just 3% to muscadelle. Since 1984 the winery has been owned and operated by Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite.
