As for why, well, there are a lot of reasons: lots of chase cards in this set, alt art galore, and lots of high-value singles

Conversely, slower evolution-based decks often have weak Basics which need to evolve before they can make an impact on the game
While their price tags will likely never reach equilibrium with their Special Art Rare cousins, the most visually appealing Art Rares don't slouch
